Contract for sale of Shar-Pei

Pup is guaranteed to be free of liver, kidney and heart problems, hip dysplasia, hypothyroidism and Familial Shar-Pei fever for six months from date of purchase. If the puppy is found to have any of the above mentioned ailments, a copy of vet paperwork will be required of buyer and submitted to seller. The puppy will also be examined by sellers vet. If both vets agree on the diagnosis, a refund of the purchase price of the pup or pick of another like color, same sex pup will be given. Seller is not responsible for vet bills incurred by the buyer. If vets do not agree on a diagnosis, a third vet will be consulted. If buyer chooses to keep the puppy instead of surrendering him for another pup or accepting a refund, he/she assumes all responsibility of medical costs for the puppy and will sign a paper releasing seller of any and all liability for the puppy. Seller reserves the right to give a refund ONLY and refuse to exchange a pup. Reasons for refusal to exchange will be given to buyer in writing. Conditions specifically not included are eye tacking, cherry eye, entropion, blowing of the coat, allergies – food born or air born, any skin condition pup may develop after placement, ear infections, ear mites, demodectic mange, allergic reactions to food, chemicals, bug bites, household products, pet shampoos not recommended by the breeder or the vet, flea sprays and powders, flea collars, plants or other animals, constant stress or any other environmental factor. Other conditions that are common for a dog are not included. All disputes must be handled in the sellers jurisdiction - Kings County, California.
____ Buyer is responsible for notifying seller if puppy is placed in a different home. Placing the puppy in a different home voids this contract.

A refund will NOT be given, local authorities will be notified, AKC will be notified of the violation of their rules and legal action may be taken.
_____Buyer agrees to keep the puppy free of fleas and/or ticks. Allergic reaction may occur if pup is bitten by a flea.
_____Buyer agrees to administer heart worm medication to keep puppy free of heart worms.
_____Buyer agrees to feed a high quality, lower protein food
_____Buyer agrees to provide a calcium supplement during the pups growth spurts
_____Buyer agrees not to chain the dog up and leave unattended for long periods of time.
_____Buyer agrees to read the information packet provided to him/her by the seller regarding the Shar-Pei breed, their temperament, behavior that is specific to the breed and conditions that are common to the breed ie, ear infections, and submit a signed statement to seller within seven (7) days that states all information is understood. A written receipt will be given once signed statement is received. If signed statement is not received, all guarantees in this contract are null and void.
